Have reported them to Action Fraud and Ofcom. They used my number and I was receiving 100+ phone calls and 100+ text messages an hour demanding why I had phoned them. Very distressing. Reply STOP worked.

Called twice today. Answered 2nd call - "Mike (Punjabi) Smith", from 'BT'. Foreign person using my IP address for illegal purposes - would need to disconnect my internet for 5 days. Told me to hit CTRL+R and Windows key and enter something. I played along (doing NOTHING on my laptop, but then asked him, "You say this is coming from my IP address - then you can tell me what it is!?". He gave me a random number from hos head, I guess. I get a call from this number every 2 other Saturday or so, I've never picked up and I keep blocking it, however, every time they ring they use a slightly different number : starting with 020 7946 and so far either 1842, 1699, 1469,1153.

these people rang me 4 times and on 4th, I told them not to call again and remove my number but they hung up . 45 minutes later they rang a 5th time, so I used language they may more understand. Do not answer !!!!!

This is an ambulance chaser they also use phone number 08452867968. I guess they have other numbers similar except for the last number they have phoned me 10-15 times and I am registered with the TPS. REPORT THEM they are blatantly ignoring the law.

The clue is in the number. Apart from inner city London, when last I looked, all UK numbers begin with 01. Clive, Peter, Brian Stephen etc are NOT popular names in India as these people would have you believe. The bottom line is a simple one, if you don’t recognise the number, don’t answer.
