They verified my details, knew my name and every handset/plan I already had, and after a brief chat, concluded that I didnt need anything. I get these kind of calls 1-2 a year. They are a telesales company likely working with EE. There is a lot of negative comments, but this is the way the capitalist world you live in works. Accept you will get these calls, people trying to sell your something.

This number telephoned me four times today - three times I was unable to take the call. Asking if I was the owner of a business that has just moved into new premises. Pointed out I was renting from local authority and they hung up.
Supposedly from my mums bank, saying £100 just withdrawn from her account! Checked the number online and it’s from New Zealand. SCAM please be careful

PPI rubbish, putting on a "hard sell". Lad I spoke to (at 14:50 on 19/10/16 if anyone from the company in question reads this and wants to discuss his phone manner with him) got very curt and uppity with me when I suggested that claiming your own
SCAM - text from this number. Claiming to be UPS and asking for payment to redeliver a parcel (which they said they tried once but I was 'out'). I had been home all day and I wasn't expecting a parcel. I suspect the next thing they'd ask for would be credit card details. I blocked them.
Saying they were doing survey on behalf of gov online services, may well be true, but if we wish to leave feedback for any gov dept, they will have their own direct link(s) Best to ask for their card details so you can bill them before answering any questions!
