02 Nov 2021 - An Indian guy rang my mobile from this number, knew my name. I asked where he was calling from but couldn’t understand what he said, put him on loudspeaker and asked again and no one in my office could understand what he said? Foreign person called my business number and said they were from EDF ringing about my electric and gas. I said we didn't have gas and they hung up. Possible call centre or possible scam.
Called from opus. Claiming I owe a debt from 2008-2019 for Northumbrian water. Considering I was 18 and living at home at the time I explained this was untrue. I was then told it was from an address I lived in on 2015 but they dated it 2008? I was then called back to tell me it was for 3 different addresses, one of which I did not live in at any of the time stated??

Started by asking for my wife. Told her she wasn't in. Then confirmed my name, said he was offering a call blocker for unrecognised calls for free. Mentioned that I paid for my phone bill by direct debit (who doesn't?) and then listed a load of banks, none of them mine. When I laughed he got annoyed and asked why. When I told him I didnt have any banks of that name, did he just want my sort code and account number, he was talking over me and telling me to listen!!! Cut him off. Be warned.
