Claims to be from Amazon
Pressed 2, asked for the name of the company, he wouldn t give it, was rude, and dropped the call. Sigh.
SCAM 01227631995 - had a call from this number claiming to be from Amazon regarding a Gift Casrd purchase for £49+ made supposedly by me from an address in London. Having never bought a gift card nor having anything to do with this address I told the caller so, and also said that this is a scam call, to which he hung up. I have had several similar calls to this one for varying amounts and each time I am quoted the same London address. Clearly this is a scam and should be avoided at all costs.
Number has 12 digits, too many to be valid in the UK.
Have a guardian phone, so did not get through, but shows on call list. They were either not prepared to announce who they are, or it is a call centre who can’t.
Recorded message "About my Amazon Prime account". I don't have a prime account, and have seen the same recorded message reported as a scam on other websites
They rang several times, when I answered it there was some background noise, but no-one speaks, then they cut it off.

HMRC Tax Scam. I had time to spare so led them a merry dance. They claim to be HMRC and that there's historical errors in your income tax, and that HMRC have had an arrest warrant issued! I acted innocent, and after wasting about 30 mins of their time, it eventually got around to asking me to buy Google Play cards to the value of the amount supposedly owed. At that point (having given them false personal info), I finally said I wasn't fooled and they hung up. At least I wasted their time!

This is a safe number used by Barclaycard Merchant Services PCI Compliance team. Any Business owner who takes card payments using a Barclaycard terminal (card machine) would know this number to be safe

Automated Call ? Young male voice saying they're from Insulation Advisory Services, trying to get you to have a loft insulation survey. It's a clever automated system, that listens for you to say something in response to it's questions , but it is unable to react properly to your random questions. It fails the "Turing Test", but that doesn't make it any less annoying. They've phoned me 4 times in the last 2 days so far.

Scam. I use to work for vodafone, and the first thing i asked after he started talking was " who is your line manager?" "And what system am i on". He freaked out and try come back but not a chance. I have been called 3 times by this number today. It is highly irritating as I drive a lot. No one there when I answered the third time of them calling. I called back to a recorded message with an American accent saying This number is out of service . My guess is that they are testing to see if the number is in use and you will get a load of marketing text messages once this number is answered or called back which I recommend you do neither.
