They say they are from BT then try to get you to believe you have a broadband fault and then get you logged on your computer to resolve the problem-yeah right!! If you call the number back it is just a ghost number.

This is a call from a very thick Chinese guy who speaks poor English. He keeps on insisting that you answer some lifestyle questions. When you refuse he will hang up and call back the next day. Indian caller pretending that his name was Nigel and that he was from The call barring service . Knew surname of account holder and a partially correct address for the property (i.e. they d got the address from an address database, and not from us). Started a spiel about nuisance calls and how they want to get everyone onto the new government service - at which point I hung up on the shyster.

What is the use of the TPS if you keep getting these sort of calls? I thought it was supposed to stop them.

Sick and tired of this number ringing, 8 times already this afternoon... no one there, and when you say its a scam they hang up, not to be trusted at all.... all because my daughter entered a Justin Bieber competition this morning....

Some pension scam "You are owed ?1,000 due to pension bla bla bla" utter crap -- just trying to con money out of people. If it was genuine they would have my address and have sent me a letter. Another number in my call blocker ---- best gadget I ever bought --- there is nothing like the satisfaction I get in putting people numbers in this - they only ring once and never again!

Did not answer the call as number was unknown. They left voicemail message containing racist remarks.

I got a phone call from this number, as I did the 1471 to hear the number back. The man said his name was John and wanted to speak to my brother. He new his name and said he owed money and they wished to speak to him. My mother answered the call but wouldn t give up any details, but she kept asking them questions about who they were and why they were ringing. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION AWAY!! DO NOT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS!

harrassment calls from this number. unsure of what the issue is and despite telling her she has the wrong number, she keeps calling and is basically yelling on the phone asking to speak to someone that DOES NOT live here.
