Phone was off but had a missed call from this number and HUGE reported on line concerns from people about it. It worryingly coincides with DAILY Phishing e mails for past 3/4 months reported to report@phishing/ICO and Microsoft. Automated call - Didn't answer, then got a 5s voicemail of a Liverpool accent (phone had auto-identified dialling code as Liverpool) saying "ah right, OK, well we'll take you off our list then". I suspect this was an automated response after my voicemail "answered" to say not available, leave your message etc. and voicemail recorded tail end of the response. Crafty.

This no. Claiming to be Barclays fraud has called me daily and the calls are getting earlier which is annoying as I am being woken up from my sleep. Why don’t they get the message not to call me if I am Not responding to them? I expect it to be genuine if my bank wrote to me first.
SCAM Didn't get a call from this number but it is shown on a small value (£0.94) package received in the post this morning where the addressee is not known at this address. Spoke to the Company which was quoted on the package as sender - One World Economy - and they have confirmed that they are a forwarding company for E-bay and were asked to send this on behalf of a Chinese company. Seem soo be a brushing scam as another package also received this morning from a different sender egis time value £0.08.

"Max" tel.no. 01292388212 called my house phone and asked for me by surname. I didn't confirm. He then told me that I didn't have cover for central heating. I said I have his number and will check with the fraud squad before following up. I then politely hung up. Maybe a legitimate cold call; but I wasn't interested to find out.
