This unknown number has been calling me for days before I got the chance to finally answer. I didn t understand the man s name nor from which company he was calling, but he said something to the effect that I d get a refund for the bank charges I allegedly paid over the past few years. This number rang our landline and asked for my husband by his first name only. Once speaking to him the male caller (African type accent) claimed to be from Sky and started asking questions - my husband's surname, security password, mother's maiden name etc. Unfortunately for him, my husband was not the easy touch he was obviously expected to be and the caller got no information out of him!

This was an automated call claiming to be from a bank (unspecified), warning me about two purchases through Amazon, on my bank card. I had a similar call for a local number earlier in the day. I didn't click 1 or 2 to authorise or to get help. Apparently the number is a landline in Bangalore!

I ve had both silent calls and peoples phoning and asking about the person who had an accident in the last three years in the house. When I asked where they got my number from they hung up.

Have had calls from Aerials Direct claiming to be working for Vodafone. Said I was due an upgrade. What? 10 months early?? I don t think so. Also the guy stating they are from Tesco. Why would Tesco use another company. And why do they call stating they are from different companies.

Had a call off this number. A woman said hello and then put the phone down. I'd say it's another one of these scam calls where they expect you to call back and then you get charged. These types of scams are becoming a regular occurrence.
