Internet - Claimed to be calling from open reach to assist with poor upload / download speeds claiming it was due to my router but they didn't even know what router I had! I explained that if they wanted to find the problem that they should send an engineer to the telephone pole opposite where the cover had been off for about 12 months and where the wires were open to the elements. I hung up before the lady could offer to sell something to put it right !

Indian man, after giving an English name,says he is calling from BT Technical Dept.I know that there is no such Department within the BT organisation!!I said goodbye and put the phone down!! Consider it DANGEROUS, if you answer, they know that your number is active, sell your number on, and you will be bombarded, they will log your times on answering and build a profile of you, and eventually you are bait. Police aren't interested as no crime has been committed...yet! but it's too late then isn't it? Log it here and make others aware that the scamming F***s have invaded Chatteris now.

Receiving calls about boiler replacement every couple of days and I am now about to put it on my Truecall machine. The best ?100 I ever spent. I seldom get nuisance cals these days but as soon as I have time I Google them to check authenticity, then put them on the Truecall if not trusted. I am hard of hearing, most know this and I seldom get calls now unless important.

SCAM They ring pretending that they have been involved in installing insulation in your loft and that there's a potential problem with it that they need someone to visit. It is all lies. Energy efficiency and insulation is a good thing, but this company is definitely a scam. They seem to be making use of standard recorded messages in response to your responses too, to make it sound like it is a human on the other end.

I called this number back and there was a very nice message with the phone number to call to opt out. No big deal really.
SCAM: First of all, an automated male voice saying ' Hello, Customer, an ipad has been added to your Amazon account'. The taped message was poorly recorded and there were several breaks and skips in it. It played 3 or 4 times continuously before I ended the call. I didn't wait for the end of the message. I don't have, or ever have had, an Amazon account. Supposedly calling from Wolverhampton.
