I don t know why they give out 0843 numbers because they all seem to be used for these types of premium rate scams. If you register for the non-existant prize draw you are charged huge sums for every message you get from them until all of your phone credit is gone.
PPI scam, they keep ringing back, especially annoying as I am abroad at the moment and if someone answers the phone to them I have to pay for the connection.

If you have free calls (eg free weekend and evening calls through BT) then phone them back (with 141 prefix) and tell them to check the TPS website before calling anyone. If they ask for your postcode, refuse to tell them. Also refuse to give your number, or any other information about yourself. Simply state over and over again that they are required to consult the TPS website before calling any number. SCAM They ring pretending that they have been involved in installing insulation in your loft and that there's a potential problem with it that they need someone to visit. It is all lies. Energy efficiency and insulation is a good thing, but this company is definitely a scam. They seem to be making use of standard recorded messages in response to your responses too, to make it sound like it is a human on the other end.
