SCAM! Following several silent/scam calls, I normally screen all calls with my answering machine, but decided to pick up this time. Voice at other end said he was calling about a problem with my "Virgin Media broadband". I don't have Virgin Media broadband to told him to piss off! SCAM. Answered the call silent at first and then a malle answered started to introduce himself, then when I questioned where he had the number from as I was putting a trace on it, he hung up. Got a phone call an hour later from a similar number 01642278881 this time a foreign woman who stated to speak then hung up. I think they try and assess the age of the recipient of the call and if they sound old they continue with their call with a view to completing the scam.

Man with heavy Indian accent told me he was from Open Reach. As my internet connection was very slow he wished to assist in speeding it up. Total rubbish!
SCAM Recorded message purporting to be BT saying my line was showing unusual activity and I should "press 1" to be connected to an engineer who could sort out the problem I re-dialled the number to find that it was not recognised.
