I just had a call from them & never picked it up. Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else. SCAM she says she was from Amazon security and that a mobile phone had been purchased on my husband's account, she said they'd sent an email, he was on Amazon at the time so I told him to check his order's and no phone had been purchased, he disconnected the call, later she sent an email with a link to click, I deleted the email.

When I asked him for the identity of the PC and its serial number so I could identify which of the 200 PCs at my location was the issue he blathered a bit and then when I asked him which of the Police Constables he wished to speak to he hung up. Call center: Lady saying she wanted to ask questions about my general household. The line was awful and I couldn't understand what she was asking me. I believe she may have said something about my washing machine, but can't be 100% certain. I put the phone down as she was too hard to understand and the line was very quiet.

somebody who works for the phone company told me they purposely have setup computers to automatically call peoples houses and then hang up. they said it makes the phone company profit by people simply answering and hanging up due to the lines being used. its a timewasting tactic. simply ignore it
