SCAM: Supposedly from HSBC Bank, TEXT message alleging " A payment was attempted from a NEW DEVICE on (date-time). If this was NOT YOU, please visit (web address)" that looked like an HSBC one. Trouble is I don't have any Bank accounts ????

Receiving calls about boiler replacement every couple of days and I am now about to put it on my Truecall machine. The best ?100 I ever spent. I seldom get nuisance cals these days but as soon as I have time I Google them to check authenticity, then put them on the Truecall if not trusted. I am hard of hearing, most know this and I seldom get calls now unless important.
Answered on 3rd ring-silence then caller hung up!

Second call received from John at computer maintenance. First time when I told him that there wasn t a computer at this number he hung up, hoped this would deter further calls. But following day different time he phoned again told him that still didn t have computer and wanted to be taken off their database at which point he hung up. Waiting to see if they ring again.

Scam recorded message saying that they are stopping use of my National insurance number as I have committed several frauds and criminal activity, press 1 to speak with an officer... and no doubt get fleeced lots of money for doing so. SCAM automated call! This number called - I didn't answer as I didn't recognise it. My voicemail picked up part of an automated recorded message, seemed to be telling me to press 1 or my National Insurance number would be 'switched off' and I would no longer be able to use it. Possibly the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard but sadly some people will panic and do as they're told!
