I received a call from 01709 276522 but when I answered they hung up, I dialled the number and it answers with Goodbye. No idea who this is

Called about an overpayment on a loan I never had in 2011. Scammers to be sure. Quickly ended the call after the mention of a loan.

Real nuisance,20 calls per day at all hours, unsolicited, a company based in ESHER where the A370 meets A244 (see map). No caller on the end just bleeps. Trying to put a stop to it now. might pop up and cut there phone line.

Suggest anyone who receives a call from this number blocks it. have had calls from this and similar numbers that have been aggressive 'bogus' PPI claim calls.

I was phoned today saying from a young chap claiming I was going to receive a letter tomorrow informing me of a PPI refund, and somehow my bank suddenly owes me money back. I asked this chap which bank may owe me this money, he said it could be from one of several banks which I have accounts with, which he just named several banks off a list. They say they are from BT then try to get you to believe you have a broadband fault and then get you logged on your computer to resolve the problem-yeah right!! If you call the number back it is just a ghost number.

Called up asking if I d made funeral plans for my mother. Very insensitive.

despite having a non fault accident 2years ago i have had numerous calls from these people to the point ive had 3 today every time i hung up he rang me back continuing to annoy me enough is enough people !!

I got a phone call from this number, as I did the 1471 to hear the number back. The man said his name was John and wanted to speak to my brother. He new his name and said he owed money and they wished to speak to him. My mother answered the call but wouldn t give up any details, but she kept asking them questions about who they were and why they were ringing. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION AWAY!! DO NOT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS!

Some pension scam "You are owed ?1,000 due to pension bla bla bla" utter crap -- just trying to con money out of people. If it was genuine they would have my address and have sent me a letter. Another number in my call blocker ---- best gadget I ever bought --- there is nothing like the satisfaction I get in putting people numbers in this - they only ring once and never again!

Said they were from EE asking about how happy I am with my PAYG plan and handset and if they could improve it. Asked what handset I had and why I was content with my pack then let me go happily. Seems trustworthy and didn t ask for any other info.

The BeWise insurance company ignore tick boxes stating NO contact - they will contact you regardless. When you tell them to remove your details from their database, they still call the next year. The Ombudsman needs to investigate this company.
