Had a cold calI from this number today. I answered the phone, could hear voices in the background. Nobody replied and the line went dead after about 30 seconds. I rang the number back and found out that it belongs to Logic Guard Insurance. I told them that I am registered with the TPS and asked them to take my number off their database. I don t know why they give out 0843 numbers because they all seem to be used for these types of premium rate scams. If you register for the non-existant prize draw you are charged huge sums for every message you get from them until all of your phone credit is gone.

Claimed to be able to stop the marketing calls I was receiving, knew my name, number and address? Said payment by direct debit, and then hung up?

I am registered with TPS and would never consider buying from a company that refuses to respect that request for privacy. Apart from anything else, a lack of respect for the law in this one respect suggests they may be less than law abiding in others (e.g. building regulations!). Reports on other "nuisance call" sites confirm this firm is best avoided.

Had a call from this twice today. I answered the second time, didn’t speak there was just silence and after a couple of minutes before call ended

Genuine call from Halifax fraud prevention. They noticed someone in USA somehow used my card for a very small amount £4.24 (apparently they do this to see if it s accepted) They have cancelled my card and are sending a new one straight away. Excellent service from Halifax

I called this number back and there was a very nice message with the phone number to call to opt out. No big deal really.

Picked up, no one spoke. Waited, nothing. Ended call. Phoned the number. Voice said number not recognised???
