Called twice today. Answered 2nd call - "Mike (Punjabi) Smith", from 'BT'. Foreign person using my IP address for illegal purposes - would need to disconnect my internet for 5 days. Told me to hit CTRL+R and Windows key and enter something. I played along (doing NOTHING on my laptop, but then asked him, "You say this is coming from my IP address - then you can tell me what it is!?". He gave me a random number from hos head, I guess. Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Have checked also different formats of this number, but no luck. This is about the 7th call I've had from them, mostly an Asian guy. They ring back after you hang up. Always calling middle of the day. I asked them too specify which PC was infected, gave one of my family members first name initial and second name. When I asked them to prove they are who they say they were gave me the family members first initial and surname again and that was all they had.
