SCAM / SPAM Scam. Apparently HMRC is going to arrest me for a tax fraud. Yeah right, HMRC don't even know my phone number.
This number has rung my mobile twice in two days. I have not answered but after reading comments on this and other websites, I contacted O2 directly. They confirmed that it IS them and it IS telemarketing, and offered to block my number, which I accepted. He said he had passed my details to telemarketing to stop contacting me but it could take up to 28 working days for the calls to stop. So I will have to wait and see. I hope this helps.

SCAM - Called and hung up as soon I said hello. Probably a robocall checking to see if the number is viable given I have received several scam calls in the past few days and immediately hang up on them.
This crap company has called about 4 times in past couple of weeks. Each time I requested that they remove my number from their database as I think they re dispicable, low life, preying on the vulnerable. A friend who had a car accident was totally taken in by a similar company, as they called the day after her accident, so she thought they were from her insurance company. Caller with English accent told me that my loft insulation was faulty and was causing condensation, but nothing to worry about. When asked he said he was from the UK Advisory Information Centre and they ran the Renewable Energy Database where my details had come from. When asked he said he was based in central London. This is from a company who cold call stratigy is to provide you a service you don't want and do not give up on calling you. They want to know if you are a home owner ect purveying to save people money whom you leave your estate to when you have left this world. What they really want is to making money for there company.
