The debt collections company called portfolio recovery associates having a call centre in Swansea (never heard of one there before, I think they buying loads of telephone numbers all over the country and diverting all calls to a central office as I called that number several times, stayed on phone just long enough to hear voice and no one spoke with a welsh accent. I personally found them misleading people (to make them join of course) by giving them falls/incomplete information. I bought their voucher for Diploma in Photoshop, it was £16.00 for the course. After I joined the course, at the end they asked me to pay another £16.00 for assignment, which was never mentioned in the beginning that there will be any other fees to get your Certificate, meaning, you now have no choice but to pay to get that Certificate or you simply forget what you paid so far and leave the c

Fraud Automated message saying it was from my bank (did not actually give the name of the bank) and said it had blocked a payment of over 600 pounds via a western union transfer it then wanted me to type in my details.

Automated message claiming to be from HMRC and that I'm under investigation for tax fraud. Tells you to press 1 or a warrant will be created for your arrest. Almost certainly a scam.

SCAM This is a number that calls impersonating HMRC. A recorded message may be played mentioning the name Dennis Grey and asking to be called back.

Called regarding your recent road traffic accident. Asked where they got my number and stated Road Traffic Authority. They terminated call as I began asking how did they have licence to access this information.

Called, new my full name and wanted to check if I was still the owner of my current address details so that they could send me a voucher as they are doing a promotion in the area. Have no idea how they got hold of all my details but requested that they stop calling me, do not sent any unsolicited mail to my home and take me off their call list. doubt they will follow any of my requests.

Asked if I had any Aviva shares and when I said yes he asked if I followed the share price to which I also answered yes at which moment he hung up.

PPI Insurance company. Probably based in Manchester area despite number coming up as Braintree. Surprised they had my whole name but I asked them to remove me from their list just before they hung up on me.

Vanquis bank vultures who have many different numbers and will call you anytime during day and night. They are very impolite to try and get a missed payment out of you or to try and get you to pay more and don't care if you can't afford too. Keep these - See you next Tuesdays blocked has they are very impolite and can get very nasty and will talk to you like dirt.

Had several calls from this number, often a couple on the same day (some missed calls) each time there is silence at the other end.
