Scam, Scam, Scam.i suggest blocking the number
SCAM / SPAM Recorded message claiming to be from HM Customs, told me a tax fraud case has been opened against me, to press 1 immediately to be connected to an "officer", and that if I do not press 1 immediately the arrest warrant would be issued and I would be arrested shortly. Very threatening.
HMRC Tax Scam. I had time to spare so led them a merry dance. They claim to be HMRC and that there's historical errors in your income tax, and that HMRC have had an arrest warrant issued! I acted innocent, and after wasting about 30 mins of their time, it eventually got around to asking me to buy Google Play cards to the value of the amount supposedly owed. At that point (having given them false personal info), I finally said I wasn't fooled and they hung up. At least I wasted their time!

Called me today, knew my name. Started telling me that I was in debt and that they have a scheme blah blah blah, rambled on for ages and the finally asked if it was something I was interested in. To which I told him that I don't have any debt and it sounds like b*llsh*t to me. "so you have just wasted my time." was his comment and he hung up on me.
No idea who this is, probably some accident I've had. No recognition of a phone number...no answer. Easy!
Automated message saying something about some suspicious activity in my name and wanted me to press 1 to connect to the officer concerned. It said I wouldn’t be able to use my national insurance number if I didn’t press 1 and talk to the officer. Didn’t mention my name if any details, and hung up after 30 seconds. Seems like a phishing scam.

Sounded vaguely feasible until I 1471 d the number and got this one-was expecting a local number as she said (and was perfectly polite, no aggression at all) she was calling direct from my local Tesco Express. But same as others-advertising in their local glossy, have never seen one and "from £15 per week" seems extortionate anyway for a 1/4 page. Anyway. SCAM / SPAM said they were from Visa Headquarters and that a payment of £600 had been made on my Barclaycard. I don’t have a Barclaycard and when I suggested this they hung up. It was an Indian man and the phone number is a Rugby code.
This number has been calling most days for over a week, sometimes several times. I was able to pick up once but there was apparently no one there.
