kept ringing, hung up. its a computer calling many homes at once, and when you pick up, if they have staff available they will talk. if no staff, the call hangs up and calls another 100+ homes. very annoying. if not a scam, probably selling junk or ppi that you wouldnt have bought otherwise. AVOID

An asian sounding gentleman rang from this number, said has name was Daniel, and that he would only take up a minute of my time, and then wouldn t bother me again. He knew my name and postcode. I asked what it was all about, as I wouldn t give any information until then. He hung up.

The call is not from the UK. These calls originate from Asia, using spoofed UK numbers.

01515150604 13:14 13/06/2012 Received a call from this number, when I answered the guy introduced him self but did not disclose the company he was working for I asked him the purpose of his call and he wanted to HELP me. I then turned the tables on him and asked him what sort of help he could give me he then went on to sell me compensation for the ACCIDENT I had, He new more about the accident than i did as i have never had an accident. I then asked him why he thought I had an accident and needed his help.

Tried to con our mother and get all our details. They claim to be Scottish power

This number called and I missed it. If you try and ring back, you get the number unobtainable tone. They can t be up to any good - avoid.

Just received a call from this number asking if we take American Express - I advised no and asked what company they were from assuming it was a customer. He just said he was exploring opportunities for points on his cards. This number appears to be associated with American Express but it would be nice if they were honest about the reason for their call. Call back not possible as I would have asked to be removed from their database.

He asked to speak to my son I asked who it was he said def logan i called my son he said he didn t know anybody of that name and to tell him he was then going out I passed that message on to him and he said put him on now I said who do you think you are talking to he said you put him on now I said P"ss off and hung up

Claims to be from national crime prevention scheme but I recognised the voice as that of a scammer that sells advertising in Police, Fire Brigade and Ambulance service magazines.
