AO.com trying to sell me insurance on a fridge I bought from them that had just finished its warranty.

Called stating that my PPI claim had been approved and I was due a payout. I replied that I hadn t made a claim and my number should be removed from their list, at which point the caller hung up.

Called to try and gain access to PC remotely said it had been hacked and had been downloading illegal materials. Very threatening and abusive. Indian accent.

Genuine call from Halifax fraud prevention. They noticed someone in USA somehow used my card for a very small amount £4.24 (apparently they do this to see if it s accepted) They have cancelled my card and are sending a new one straight away. Excellent service from Halifax

Reclaim bank charges, know personal details but when I said I didn t want to answer any further questions, he hung up.

Do no agree to speak to these people they are con artists we record all their calls when they ring work and pas them onto our local police fraud department.

Claimed to be from Trojan Telecom and to be calling to reduce my company s telephone bill. Trojan does exist but I doubt if it knows anything about this call. I dialled 1471 and was given the above number followed by a "please hang up" message, suggesting the number may well be fictitious.
