Spam loan company using the guise of a mobile number to make you answer.

Human voice saying pre-recorded statements about having got my number from the RTA department and was I in an accident recently. Asked her to clarify recently and it was 2-3 years which gave the game away. I m usually really careful with my number so I think it s an auto-dialer.

This number rings me at least twice a day on my mobile. I have gotten to the stage now where I just answer and leave the line open, let them talk and pay for the call.

Just been called by this number to inform me my emails are being used by someone in the usa and if I follow his instructions through my computer we can solve this together. Bloody nice chap! However I do know that once connected to your computer they can lock you out unless you make payments to them. SCAM me thinks. PPI company, number showed up as based in Macclesfield. Never needed to look into PPI so they had no reason to call me. Just a company who has no doubt bought a list of data to harass people.

Definitely a call from a scammer. These calls use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION to a caller. NEVER RETURN A CALL ...
