SCAM / SPAM usual thing. strong south Asian accented guy called 'paul' told me he was from EDF and clarified that they are my current supplier. then said due to covid they couldn't said engineers out to read meters. 1) I send readings in online. 2) every meter I have seen in the last 25 years is outside. covid becomes irrelevant in this case 3)I have never given reading over the phone. hang up

SCAM Caller said they were from Amazon and that I would have a high payment charged monthly (£79.99) unless cancelled and the caller was going to "help me" cancel my Amazon Prime subscription. After some arguing (as she tried to get me to stay on the line), I hung up and checked Amazon website going through their online chatbot. I read in the press that the STAR 9500 smartphone has been found to have a factory installed trojan virus. So I disabled my STAR 9500 and moved the sim card to an old phone. A few days later the old phone reported a missed call and a text message. The message was just this number. I didn t call it back.
