01612880212: Claimed to be from Benefits UK, wanting private information, even after I told them I was not the named person they were calling about. I told them they had the wrong number, the caller replied, they had the right number but the wrong person, and continued to insist that I answer the questions. The voice sounded familiar from past nuisance calls apparently being from Dave a guy with an Asian accent.

This appears to be a false number, sounded like a call centre. The caller sounded foreign, and was persistent. There are no local numbers starting with 342.
Last week I bought a BT BT8500 Advanced Call Blocker phone and it works a treat. I am not connected with BT in any way but I can highly recommend this phone. It will keep a log of the calls it blocks and this number called me today but the phone blocked it and it didn t ring. Peace at last!!

SCAM - Was sent a security code from O2 then recieved a call from the above number about 15 minutes after. I had already rung o2 to confirm with them if there was any suspisous activity and then i changed all security details.

I can see at leat 4 numbers from the same range reported here with the same problem, people be really aware of this, if you pick it up double-check all info you provide them with...01614646170, 01614646171, ... all the same call centre.

Claimed to be a “Michael Fernandez” from Windows Technical Department.He told me that there has been a corruption with my computer and that he has to resolve it for me and started to give me directions on where to navigate on my pc. I stopped him and asked what exactly the problem was and he said it was something to do with the RAM and hardware and that if he doesn’t help me it will cause me major problems.
