Caller said he was from the 'Road Traffic Department', in order to sound like an official call, Eventually after I quizzed him about the Road Traffic Department he said they had information that someone at the address of my telephone number had had a road traffic accident in the last two years.He said, "Is this correct?" I said that if he was from the Road Traffic Department he would know if it was true or not. (No one has.) He then hung up. Ambulance-chasing scam artists!

It is the Tesco Fraud Team, I did not take the call and immediately rec'd a text message regarding a genuine transaction. I was able to confirm this to Tesco by replying 'Y' by text. I immediately rec'd an automated text confirming receipt of my confirmation. Very easy and efficient.
