Asked to speak to "One of the directors" I said I can t transfer calls to directors, and they abrubtly hung up.

said they were calling from T.P.S ? by an asian sounding guy called John smith.

Called me trying to sell something or other - looked on the net and they seem to be cold calling people at random - we are TPS registered - also seen a lot of suspected false positive comments around the net about this company saying how helpful they are - probably written by friends or employees - I didnt apreciate a cold call when I am TPS registered.

This number calls most days, and say they have heard from the advice bureau that someone at this address has had an accident in the last two years. This is not correct so I say definitely not and put the phone down.

Have had 4 phone calls this morning. 3 went dead when picked up. 1 was answer machine message about subscription to amazon and asked me to press 1 to cancel and 2 to discuss options. I put the phone down. Has anyone else had these calls?

I suspect it s a fishing exercise to gather info we may seem to think is harmless but gives clues to passwords bank details and so on the first question was who do I bank with and do I bank online I am deeply suspicious of anyone asking about any of my financial details unsolicited as banks don t call asking my details so no-one else should either

Got this call today, pension, under 60, £1,000 blad blad blad, total scam and I just hung up, checked the map where the call might come from and it shows a street called Lloyd St. in Manchester, near, in or beside a pub called the Old nags head.

Insurance company. Tell them you want to buy something, put the phone on a table and get on with your day, washing dishes, reading the paper, listening to the radio, say something every now and again to keep them there, waste their time, waste their money, keep em hangin on. They ll soon go away, no company can afford to have people making calls and no sales.
