After I replied to his questions he said ok have a lovely day an hung up... which I found weird. Unfortunately, it was until he hung up that I realised he might have been recording my yes/no answers to use this for any sort of identity fraud or scam... Claimed to be from British Gas, but wouldn't say the purpose of call before I gave my security details, which I never give to a caller if I'm unsure of their identity. My guess is genuine but still unsolicited call, and they shouldn't expect my security details.

Fraud Telephoned 04/12/20. I gave no name when answering and they did not ask who I was. Young lady immediately started with "I understand that you have been in an accident which was not your fault". I have not had an accident and any reputable company would have identified who they were dealing with as a priority. Shut her down immediately and barred number.
