Received a suspicious call from this number claiming to be from EE. The caller had a strong Indian accent and asked for my account details. Immediately sensed a scam and hung up. Remember, never disclose your personal information to unsolicited calls.

It claims to be "EVRI", wanting to reschedule a parcel delivery... I'm not expecting any parcel, so I'm sure it's just another one of the vast amount of scams that are going around. Apparently it's an O2 network mobile number "(+447759916871)", in the Manchester area. I believe it was a scam call, warning me of a tax investigation.

Not a scam, it's fine! Was told it was HSBC and was asked to verify my identity by the agent on the other end. I let them know I would call back directly to avoid a scam and she said okay, she would put a note on my file about it, and ended the call. I called HSBC directly through their official phone line and asked about it and they DID find a note on my file - it was totally legitimate! If in doubt go ahead and call back anyway, it's good practice, but don't ignore this number because it is actually real

They 'sell' unnecessary appliance insurance such as TV or washing machine cover, household wiring cover, and boiler cover, often at extortionate amounts higher than cost of replacement of appliance for new. Once they have your bank or card details, they set you up for additional policies you didn't want, often for appliances you don't even own. I doubt there's actually any cover in place. Asian woman said her name was Carol (as if) told me I lived at a house I moved from in 2015. Asked who I had life insurance with and started arguing with me when I told her that's none of her business. She kept repeating aviva, bupa, sunlife is your life insurance with those. I kept saying its nothing to do with you. Then she hung up.

SPAM. Nigel Frank recruitment these folk call your mobile usually during work meeting times (9-10) and think it's acceptable to keep your phone ringing for 30sec. Knowing you've probably muted the call with the intention of putting your phone to silent when they eventually abandon the call they'll immediately radial so you cant do this, to annoy you again, which is a bit controlling. Despite telling them you've started a new job, they continue to pester you every month.
