I suspect this phone number has been cloned and, given the caller's accent and the quality of the line, is being used by a call centre from abroad. Almost definitely a scam.
Said my Amazon account had been hacked, someone trying to spend £1,400,
automated timewaster call saying that I have won such and such amount.

Automated call from “my internet service provider” stating that illegal activity has been detected on my account and my service would be disconnected within 24-48 hours….Then gave me a load of options…press 1, press 2…etc presumably to get me to speak to someone so that they could access money in some form or other. Called today by someone claiming to be from HMRC (0141 2284991) regarding tax payment (they knew the details!) and claiming an arrest warrant / judicial court case if not paid today. Was passed to someone called Victoria, claiming to be from the NRA who later called back on a London number (0207 2382626). This is a scam. Do not pay anything and report to Action Fraud and HMRC. Needless to say when she called back about non payment and was challenged, she hung up!

Next day rang again to book hearing Test with no record of me By now l am suspicious l rang them and asked them to bring up my details on their computer but couldn t do that because they were using the phone. I rang again and asked them where they were, they said Carlisle, l told them the last time l rank this number they were in Derby. reply was sorry sir
