Jason Phillips called me from this number and then sent 2 email copy letters with Financial Ombudsman Service at top right of the letters, stating a big refund for my solar PV. He asked for covering payment upfront saying it is needed to cover costs of UK Law Associates before a refund could be arranged. I had no positive proof of who he was/is and declined the payment. I am perusing this through the ombudsman who is handling the case of mis-sold pv for me.

The recorded message says that they have been trying to contact you and that a legal action case has been opened against you and you must dial 1 immediately to speak to your case officer in a threatening sort of computer generated delivery. Silent call, I think the scam is for you to call them back at inflated call costs to call the number. No one ever answers you after you pick up but you can hear that there is some one on the other end of the line as they initially say hello. Deffo a scam!!!

Just received a text as if it was a message from the Government to let me know I am eligible for a tax refund. Looks like a scam with a link to use.
Fraud. Pretending to call from HMRC. Didn't know my name. Told them if they're calling from HMRC the least they should know is my name. Call was supposedly from Liverpool too, not a Liverpudlian accent to be heard.
