Man called this morning.Knew our surname and age range.He started talking about energy efficiency and wanted to ask question about our home.I told him that I would not answer any questions over the phone.Although he was polite and thanked me for my time I have now blocked the number.

Answered on 3rd ring-silence then caller hung up!

Went to answer and just hung up

Cold call from "a Government approved" energy company.

Three possibilities : they bought the number for their business from a telecoms provider, they hijacked it from a genuine user, or they spoofed it.

spoke to a girl called Meghan, she was polite at first but then became rude and sharp once I said I won t be spending any more money on my adwords. She also laughed at me when I mentioned I m experimenting with it and I prefer to learn by mistakes. She was also eating while speaking to me. Doesn t seem like a company I d ever want to deal with.

Phoned a few times over the past weeks, never left a message on the answerphone, so I took it as not important.

Definitely a call from a scammer. These calls use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION to a caller. NEVER RETURN A CALL ...

Recorded message from HMRC saying unless I press 1 a warrant will be issued and I ll be arrested shortly.

This number has tried to call me twice now - each time making me leap up from some other activity and hence a damn nuisance. Tried to call back and get a continuous tone. Absolutely despise these people who intrude on my life.

This Asian prat, after asking me my name said in a thick Paki accent. "I have not rung to tell you anything" So I said in that case **** Off and put the phone down. But I was right; this cretin is from Londonistan where 4 out of five residents are from foreign descent. I know of no one in London so why ring me if it s not to try and con money out of me. Just had a call from this number. He asked to speak to the Company Director. When I said he was out and asked if I could help, he slurred/mumbled something about a Business Consultant and hung up. I didn t get either his name or the company name.

received a text which came up as halifax, adking if I tried to transfer?900 from my account, pleade call 03330124289 and have your telephone banking password to hand, I do not bank with halifax,in fact my bank doesnt have my updated number, must be a scam

I am registered with TPS and would never consider buying from a company that refuses to respect that request for privacy. Apart from anything else, a lack of respect for the law in this one respect suggests they may be less than law abiding in others (e.g. building regulations!). Reports on other "nuisance call" sites confirm this firm is best avoided.

Robot voice said they were calling about my tax fraud and if I didn t hit option 1 to get through to an adviser they would file a warrant for me... yawn o clock..
