Got a call from an asian sounding bloke at 08:00 this morning claimimg he was from the Monistry of Justice and that I was due a £6251 from overpayment in fees to my bank. The phone rang but stopped before I could answer it. I called the number to find out what they wanted but the fellow that answered said he hadn’t called me and that he had had lots of similar calls. This number has been spoofed by scammers. Beware!

Received call from this number claiming to be "The Preservation Advisory Service", saying that an article in the Telegraph had highlighted how additional home insulation could reduce air quality and that they offered a free air quality measurement service. When I asked which company he worked for, he said his manager would tell me after I had arranged a visit from them. I pushed for this and he hung up.

Fraud, some number from London called me claiming there was a warrant out for me for tax evasion. Which for a first point, pretty much isn't possible as I'm employed with a large company who do my taxes for me. This is the UK after all, I don't do that myself. And second, after I gave my name I asked what organisation it was that was calling me before I'd be willing to continue and they just hung up on me.

2 calls today and 1 yesterday from this number. When I answer, it s just a dead line. Have just bought a new car (yesterday)and my mobile is the contact number the dealer has (VERY few businesses have it), so I suspect it s related to my purchase - probably trying to sell me car insurance or extended warranty or something.
