One of a number of unrecognised numbers that have called me today. Rang off as soon as I answered. The only call that did not ring off was an automated system that sounded like a scam phishing for bank details.

Louise wanted to send me a PPI pack. When I said I had already applied and had found I was entitled to 5p, she asked when. I said 6 months ago. She said I was upto date, thanked me and wished me a good day then rang off. Polite but still cold caller that is now blocked.

Didn t answer the call and came here to check the number. Lots of these apparently foreign numbers are actually originating in the UK by using software diallers that mask the caller s true location.As other posters suggest, a good rule of thumb is - if the number looks suspicious it probably is.

This number continually calls claiming to be Scottish Power, who want payment for a final bill. Every call quotes a different figure due. At no point can they tell you the address to which this scam is referring to, but the do try to get you to confirm your address to them. The become agitated and aggressive once they realise that you know it is a scam.

I have been having problems with it but I’m aware of phony callers pretending to be providers - BT not any of the other providers would call you out of the blue so they hung up on me lol - thought you were supposed to be helping me with an issue? SCAM Took a few seconds to connect, then had the telltale click of a switchboard thing. Indian person saying they’re from [indistinguishable] asking how I was, I said I was fine thanks and asked how they were. They proceeded to say they have a deal with Vodafone and blah blah blah. I couldn’t be bothered to play along so I said no thank you and hung up.

This number dialled few moments ago: A computer generated voice said it was HMRC stating a fraud claim has been raised against me, If i don't state my name etc I will be arrested immediately. Do NOT leave your details, this is not to be trusted and most definitely IS a highly dangerous. Wish these sort of people would just drop dead, if an o.a.p was to get this call, it could cost them thousands,
This is a loan broker - They actually did leave me a message which I appreciated. And I did make an enquiry about a loan so I have no issue with the way this company works. I didn t speak to them, just ignored the call as usual but listened to the message and the person didn t really sound like a blood thirsty sales man. Interestingly since making the enquiry - I have received well over 50 calls and this is the first to leave a message and the number was not unknown when they called.

SCAM - keep getting numerous calls everyday from this number and other numbers starting 0203 789 6xxx. They purport to be from Car Phone Warehouse and are ringing to improve my deal and upgrade my phone. When I ask them where they got my details from they say they are working in collaboration with my current provider. When I ask for verification, they change the subject and don't know anything about my current arrangements. Call the number back and the line is dead sol assume it is masked. AVOID

Guy said I’d just called him. I said I hadn’t, and he said I think you have! He’d just woken me up, no one else has access to my phone. Very rude man!
