Claimed to be Amazon, saying I’d bought a gift card for £49.99 and they wanted to check this was correct, and if it wasn’t did I want to cancel the order. I said it wasn’t me and I’d like to cancel (but was already suspicious - who buys a gift card for £49.99, rather than £50?!), then they started asking about which device I’d like the refund processed via. When I asked more questions about my concerns that this was a scam call they hung up.

Just had a call from this number, saying they were from the Debt Support Group and that I was due to reduce my outstanding payments on my debt!! When I told them that they were incorrect as I had no debt and I asked where they got my details from, they put the phone down. It really annoys me that these people have not got the decency to tell you where they received the information and give you the chance to ask them to remove your details from their database. Grrrrr!!!!

SCAM she says she was from Amazon security and that a mobile phone had been purchased on my husband's account, she said they'd sent an email, he was on Amazon at the time so I told him to check his order's and no phone had been purchased, he disconnected the call, later she sent an email with a link to click, I deleted the email.

SCAM Indian woman said she was from carphone warehouse doing a promotion with lots of discount off products. She then said so you have a contract then which one? I said you should already have those details if you're from carphone warehouse at which point she started to stumble and kept asking me what contact. She tried calling 4 times altogether using different 020 London numbers.

Claimed to be postcode lottery. I apparently won a prize and they had my name and asked to confirm my sort code and account number also. I was able to find information from the postcode lottery website that was very helpful and when I challenged the caller, they hung up. Please be aware, as this seems likely to be a scam. I’ve never signed up for the postcode lottery, so couldn’t have won anything from them.
I've had a series of 01618 14NNNN calls, where the last four digits vary. Now routinely blocking them.
