Automated call claiming to be Halifax Fraud Dept & ask you to call them back with the three digit code they give you. I used the number on the back of my card instead and while there were fraudulent payments on my card. Halifax sorted it but I believe it was a fishing call to get more information so they could use my card

These people started calling me after I had an accident! Don't know how they got my info as I did not make a claim or report this to my insurer as I was not at fault. Anyway I kindly declined, however this fell on deaf ears and they continue to harass me! The response from the caller became very unpleasant and he was very rude to me, he even stated 'I don't know why you're doing this'! Err are we married!!!?? Called twice, claimed they were Government funded! Said only four ppl should have my accident details, rated my Insurance company as excellent without knowing who they are. when told I work for a transport company and we have our own solicitors, he tried to discredit them! Very persistant, had to end the call myself after telling him he was going to get nowhere!
