Ignored. Interesting point about raised by people on here about Gumtree being connected with how these companies get your number. I too have advertised on Gumtree and receive a lot of nuisance calls from the Greater Manchester area.

One of many "helping with an insurance claim in the last three years " they introduce themselves by company and name but will not repeat if asked. Insisting I have an unresolved claim . It was on his database so it must be true. They also get aggressive. Would love to stop them altogether, I would hate to think these people older members of our population.

This number called in the evening. A woman spoke, she got my name right then asked if I lived at, and gave a very odd address . I said no I didn t so she said could I tell her correct address to put their record straight. I said don t bother, and hung up. I should have asked what record and why? Do they come up with a ficticious address hoping you will tell them the correct address?

Numerous calls every day now. The calls have gone from roughly 1 a month to multiple calls a day. Despite blocking them on my phone, they use a different number every time. Now it s Silvershine Services and last month it was Smile Cloud services. Indian sounding guy, Sam , told me he was from BT and that my internet was downloading viruses, I played along with him for a bit, he asked me how many lights were flashing on my router, I said 57... he asked me what colour they were, I said purple, but I might be wrong as I m colourblind! I could tell he was getting narked by this (as he thought he was on to a good one initially), I then told him he should be ashamed of himself, and that he was a class A, 5 star C*NT!

Called back and the recording explained clearly who had called and that if they were no longer required, how to stop the call(s). (I had contacted them initially)
