Pretended to be from telephone preference service. When I asked if he was from same people who used to claim to be from Microsoft, he hung up.
Telemarketing Lady identified herself as Nicole representing a company named IFTL which offers advice about investment products. I told her that we were on the TPS list and she shouldn't be phoning this number. She insisted that it was a call to give advice only. I ended the call
Claimed to be from "Alba Services", saying that "money has been allocated" for improving energy efficiency in homes. Told me that they got the phone number from a "homeowner database" but wouldn t give any further info. It must be a crap database as this is a newsagents shop.... Chancing scammers.

SCAM / SPAM This was an English speaking polite male telling me that the Government funded insulation in my loft could be causing damage to my property and he wanted to arrange a visit to examine it. Fortunately before the call went any further he mentioned the "foam insulation" and when I said it was not foam in my loft he rang off. OBVIOUSLY A SCAM. He didn't get round to asking for bank details but I am sure he would have it I hadn't realised what he was up to.
