They then managed to trigger the Amazon reset password text message and pressured me to give me that code to them, presumably so that they could take control of my Amazon account. Someone called introducing himself as Peter Jones from Finance And Investment Solutions Ltd . they are impersonating a business and personal name by using this landline number to sell a personal loan and trying to get money from people. I checked Finance and Investment solutions Ltd by FCA, and I have been told that Finance And Investment Solutions Ltd is a legitimate company offering only mortgages and its telephone number is totally different from this phone

The following steps are suggested:
Trying to dial the number gets a message that one should "check the number and try again" because the number is invalid (which I hinted at being possible). This, to me, confirms it is a scammer, attempting to appear a valid UK caller but failing as they are unfamiliar with the rules for UK phone numbers.

Fraud scam. Scam insurance crash call. The call operator was obviously very new at this. Fumbled and stumbled his way through the script in barely understandable “Hind-lish”. I stopped him and told him he was really terrible at this game, should stop now, he’s not cut out to be another sh*tty scammer. Told him his parents would be ashamed of him. He apologised and cut the call.

We can confirm this is a scam and you should end the call immediately. This scam has been widely reported and often targets elderly and vulnerable people.

Called them back, 03 numbers free on my plan, so didnt get charged (checked with the phone company) told them that i had reported their number, was hung up on. They rang the next day, dead air, rang the phone company who told me they can block the number. Wont be getting that again. Do not trust, when i call them i got different company names every time.
