Received a call from an unknown telephone number at 09 42 I was informed that a large amount of money had been taken from my current bank account and they wanted to know my security code etc . Indian/Pakistani sounding clearly calling from a call centre not in the U.K. as he had me on speaker phone and could hear him speaking with someone else as I answered the call. He asked for someone I don’t know. I told him I didn’t know the person and he got rude and aggressive with me before hanging up. I’ve blocked the number.

Clear scam. Do not answer. Claim to be VISA checking if a £600 online purchase is valid. Asks you to press 1 to talk to an adviser. Not sure what would happen if you pressed 1 but it would not be good. Same automated call received earlier in the day from a totally different number.

Fraud Received a message from this number stating it’s from Vodaphone and that ‘we are unable to process your latest payment. In order to avoid fees please update your information via...’ then it gave a link to an https address (looked like Vodaphone but too much else to be valid, I think). I haven’t progressed this, I don’t have anything outstanding with Vodaphone, but just be aware. I will be forwarding this to Vodaphone’s phishing area.
