SCAM This number appears to the associated with Bank Payment scams because I nearly fell for one, Had an automated message stating from my bank say that they had identified to large debits against my account which were suspicious. When I replied that they were not mine, I was put through to this number and was answered by a man who gave his name as a Paul Butler and stated that he was a member on the bank fraud investigation team. I got suspicious when he told be that this call was confidential.

Called from Citizens advice group. I questioned the male caller with a south Asian accent in some detail. He was very helpful. They were calling about debts and he asked what debts we had. I asked him where they got our number and he replied FCA ????????????. I then asked him for the person or department name as I have previously worked with FCA in the past, he didn’t give it to me. He was very polite and said he couldn’t continue. He also said they weren’t authorised in the UK!

SCAM Call of recorded message claiming to be from Bank security about large transactions, several of these same calls over the last few weeks using different numbers. Be aware.

SCAM Advised trying to sell life insurance, got my information from Marketing Department, advised they knew my name but did not address me with my name and when I asked what other personal information they had for me, and where they had got it from, they hung up. I think they have bought personal data to make these calls and this is a scam

This number 01133100118 which shows as Leeds rang me & offered to beat my network provider by 30% without knowing who i was with, 5 minutes later the same man (john) rang me again with the same offer, this time the number 01143560006 came up as Sheffield. Leeds to Sheffield in less than 5 minutes is pretty fast so i think these numbers are being spoofed from a computer.

Called about 20 times from 8am on a Sunday morning to around 9am on the Monday morning. BT Call Guardian took care of it as the spammers/scammers will never bother to 'announce' themselves... they can't when they're using autodiallers to try and connect to as many number as possible. A very suspect call. Phone rang and after a few seconds of silence the call terminated. I would never try to phone back in case of the call-back scam which can put you through to a premium number which makes massive charges. This kind of call, even if a genuine cold call, can be very worrying to some people and I abhorr the method.
