Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else. Sent me a text message a few days ago asking Miss XYZ to forward her documentation! I texted back to say they d got a wrong number but apparently their number doesn t recieve text messages, although it does seem to be able to send them! This number called me today and then hung up as soon as I answered! Cabot - I have had any dealings with you so please check who you are messaging and calling in future!

I rang this number back its 1st call group. Did google search, it's a PPI selling group. Looks dodgy. The times they call are not normal business hours.

Keeps calling saying and when answered a pre-recorded message states that it is urgent for them to speak to me and I should ring a 0844 number asap.

Very bubbly sounding lady called Leslie, on a terrible line, called from this number. Claimed to be from some kind of insurance company, said the information had come from the "Road Traffic Accident Commission" or similar. Apparently I was in an accident that wasn t my fault. After asking her to repeat her company name, and pointing out that I hadn t had an accident, she hung up on me.
