SCAM Said they were ringing me from the UK Benefit Department. As soon as I said they weren't they hung up. These are the same people who say they work for Beneficial/ring about a road traffic accident in the last 2 years/ring about your life insurance policy or any other thing they can think of to try to get sensitive information out of you. They never succeed with me but yet they keep trying almost every day.

Robot Caller trying to sell Energy,for gods sake when will all these con merchants be held to account for the amount of times we all get called during the night and day,what a complete waste of everyone's time and money having to keep stopping what we're doing to answer all these bloody calls.

Saying that the 'books for school' campaign has finished and that they'd like to say thanks by sending the books to a school of my choice. She then piles in with the 'you said you'd like the £175 to be addressed to your business for tax purposes.' Errrrrr no. None of the conversation was ringing bells but this certainly wasn't. Hmrc scam We are in our late 60s .. and have lots of contact with HMRC this last year and just had a rebate!!! but even so had to think afterwards .... so bloody fed up of all the telephone scams lot older than us might even worry and fall prey

Not a customer but was in the past (moved into house and was under British Gas for gas only)- scammed me big time! Don't owe them anything/ never have, wouldn't want to return (happy with far cheap duel fuel deal for last 7 years), expensive in my area and boiler already covered so not interested.
