The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Pre recorded Scam call relating to unexpected withdrawals from a bank account. No name or bank mentioned. Asked for me to press 1 to confirm. That's a giveaway (red flag) as is the lack of personal details. I put the phone down immediately.

I was contacted by this number. A recorded message saying that £300 had been taken from my card for £300 to Amazon and also £1100 to another supplier I do not deal with. As usual with these calls I was asked to press different number. I immediately hung up and checked my accounts. to find nothing had been taken.

Automated voice, visa debit, Said I had online shopping of £900, press 1to cancel. Hung up

SCAM. Claimed to be Vodafone calling to upgrade my phone. I don't have a Vodafone contract. Hung when I said so.

Assumed Dangerous because when answered - SILENCE! ... now blocked.

Scammers pretending to be from Three contacting ex customers of Three for final payments. Threes payment number is 0800 033 8033 so it is close. Three send final bills by email so no need to contact anyone from an 0800 number.

SCAM - Indian speaker. My TV repair cover must be renewed now! I don't have sky or tv insurance. He did not like being quizzed about where he was calling from, suspect India?

The callers from this number are scammers. They called claiming to be 3 Mobile and wanted me to upgrade to a new contract when I only just renewed my contract with the real 3 Mobile a couple of months back and my existing contract is locked for another 10 months. When I asked the idiot to email me the offer to review, they asked me for my email address and if they were really 3 Mobile they would already have it in their records. I was rang, and the caller was ringing about diesel claims. When I told him I wasn't interested and to remove me from the database, he shouted me down and asked me why I was interested. He continued to talk over me, saying he was working alongside the Dept of Transport and I should listen to him. NUMBER BLOCKED!

Pre-recorded female voice (American accent) purporting to be HMRC but number coming up on iPhone as Newquay area. Couldn't clearly hear what was said but usual message engineered to put people under pressure while offering a "Press number 1" type option to be put through to scammers most likely. Just waited and it cut-off.

An Asian voice, poor English spoken, said they were from Open Reach, and needed to check my modem. They made a give-away mistake as they got my internet provider wrong. This is the third call over the last 10 days, saying the same thing. But I didn't make a note of the number until the third time they called, which was today at 4.30 pm.
