Said their records showed that someone at my address had worked in industry, when I said 'no, no one had' she hung up. Had rung at least 15 times before I finally decided to answer and only answered because it was a local number.

This number is from Halifax/Lloyds banking group fraud team. They can stop your card and refund if anything has been taken. I am sure this number is ok. It did start out automated - which made me wary but you get through to a person quickly afterwards. They ran over the acts from law, didnt ask for any pin information and were polite and what youd expect from a bank team. Actually nice to have a bank being proactive in preventing your money being taken.
