I had a call today from an Asian male claiming to be from the Government Dep. of Income & Justice. (There is no such thing!)Said £ 4000 of overpaid bank charges had been recovered for me and did I want to know how to get hold of it. No, thanks - I requested his phone number and name of company and said I would contact the police. The number given was 020 34554098, so don t fall for this one!

I managed to keep them on the line for 13 minutes whilst they gave instructions on running EventViewer as "proof" of all of the "Internet viruses infecting my computer" then the LogMeIn account that they would use to install malware on my machine. This is so that I could enter the 9-digit account on the "Abuse" section on LogMeIn.com to get it shut down... very important!
