Received a text claiming to be from Royal mail about an undelivered item. pay £1.45 for redelivery. Obviously a scam!
This is a renewal scam phone number. Do not call them. You haven't been billed for renewing Norton (even if you are using it, this number is not Norton). They even claim the number is "toll free" - which it isn't. Also, this is not a term we use in the UK anyway, we would say it was a freephone number. The scam usually involves you logging in to your on-line bank, then them showing you that they have overrfunded you (by blanking your screen then manipulating the contents of the page).

Have been called repeatedly by this number. This caller follows typical silent call behaviour by hanging up as soon as my answerphone switches over to record a message. Anyone legitimate would leave a message. High probability this is at best a cold sales call.

I am suspicious of this number because after receiving a possible ?phishing call I made a 1471 call to discover the number the call came from I was given this number, which I rang. It was answered by a man who told me he was in Kent and i told him why I had called his number but nothing else(my name or location) i suggested he should look into how this could have happened and that his line might be compromised somehow.

"Max" tel.no. 01292388212 called my house phone and asked for me by surname. I didn't confirm. He then told me that I didn't have cover for central heating. Just received a call from this number from an articulate young man who attempted to argue with me when I questioned who he was and shouted over me rather than listening to what I was saying. It was apparently something to do with green energy and saving me money. I said I did not deal with cold callers and asked him not to ring again as he could not save me money as my energy bills are fixed but he said I did deal with cold callers as I had answered the phone! It was altogether a very unpleasant call.

Called about a motorcycle accident only 6 days ago (about which I'd only spoken to insurance company) - their info was several days old and when I asked who they were and why they were contacting me they asked why I was being rude and then hung up! - all the signs of a dodgy '3rd party claims vulture' if you ask me!!
