Odd call. I picked up the phone and said hello and was answered (by a robot ?) which said goodbye. Methinks an obvious scammer.
Automated phone call claiming to be from Amazon stating that my Amazon account was coming to an end and that a £39 direct debit would be presented to my bank account for its renewal. An opt out was offered by dialling 1. I do not subscribe to an Amazon account.

We have been called by this number 5 times in one day. I tried to call back on a mobile but number not registering.

SCAM / SPAM Appears to be a banking scam. Received a text message saying that I had successfully paired a new device and should click on a link if I hadn’t recently paired a new device. The link is to a fake Halifax website which asks for login details. I phoned the Halifax and they told me it was a scam.
