Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. Automated call tried to call back but cut off instantly
Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

Called me 6 times in the past 3 weeks. I have missed all the calls as they happened when I am working. They have never left me a message which makes me assume either dodgy or cold calling. After reading other people's comments below I have blocked the number - if it is green peace as some suggest then I have no idea how they have got my number. I have never donated to Greenpeace however I may well have signed petitions but I don't think you usually give out your phone number when you sign a petition

I received a call from this number to a landline in Switzerland They claimed to be from Visa saying that there had been suspicious charges to my visa card. They gave me details , and said that I should push 1 if they were OK, and 2 if I should reject them. I hung up
Supposedly from a Medical Alert company saying I may be eligible for a medicalert bracelet. He claimed they were based in Dorset and supplied all over the UK. When asked who he wanted to speak to he wasn't very forthcoming. After me asked a second time who he wanted to speak to, he hung up.
