I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. The chap on the other end rambled on about insurance and said he was from a company called Red Star. When I asked who Red Star were he got quite abrupt/aggressive. Clarity is a charity who sell their products over the telephone. I am not too sure how they obtain the numbers that they call.

From another site it's a Cardiff code and a recorded voice suggests it's an hmrc source, but number it says to ring is a 0161 No. Advice is don't ring.

Just missed this call, don't know who it is though. Want to know

I recieved a call from a company introducing themselves as Energy Helpline and stated that they were looking to help me out on my Home Phone and Broadband bills. They convinced me to switch to another provider and that I had to pay an amount upfront for an activation fee? Is this normal? Then they stated they had a power cut as soon as I gave those details and they then had to ring me back? Sounds suspicious if you ask me, it has been an hour now. What is happening???

Left long message on answering mach. Serious law suit against me unless I rang. Robotic voice, Americanized pronunciation & legal phrases. Did not specify name of myself or partner. Again Jennifer Coleman from HMRC. They would write to named person, cause of action letter, would never leave message as don t know who would pick up. Could scare people into ringing them back. Number belongs to an employee from Retro Consulting AKA Unique Client Solutions, a dodgy marketing company based in Nottingham & Sheffield who post misleading job adverts which make it look like you could be going into a good sales job with a career path when in fact it s commission only with no minimum wage.

a lady said I had 5 free tickets for euro millions for tonight, I asked politely for my number to be renoved as im not interested. she then said" well its a chance to win free money, im pretty sure you would be interested if you actually listened to what im telling you" she was quite aggressive! I said im only interested in listening to her removing my number. her reply was " well you already said that, I can understand english you know. so no need to be so f***ing rude!" Very rude supposed company constantly interrupting and insisting that I had filed a form on their website to get calls from them. Load of rubbish. Very unprofessionally spoken too, highly likely a scam company.

Some mug about accident I hadn't had, really rude and poorly spoken

very dodgy! I have had several missed calls so when I answered a guy with a northern accent asked for myself (although had my maiden name and I have been married for 6years!) then he said he was calling regarding my insurance up for renewal and asked if that was correct... there was something very dodgy about this guy though as he kept repeating himself and was also laughing!!! I just apologised and said I was at work and cut him off. I have since blocked the number!
