Debt clearing scam

Caller rings mid afternoon, garbled sound, could be from abroad. No message is ever left so I have now blocked the call until I can find out if it is a genuine caller or not. Beware, could be a scam!

Very much as described by grey-matters - asked for home owner and when I acted a bit simple she hung up.

Asked for Andrew *Undecipherable* who has never been associated with my number when asked who was calling they gave the above company name which may well be false as Google doesn t provide any information for such a company existing. When they asked me to confirm my identity I told him that it was a business line and he hung up.

A very friendly guy called me saying he was from Greenpeace after I had signed a Greenpeace petition. He sounded very informative and believable and after a friendly chat he asked me to donate a small amount to Greenpaece. I said I would, and then he started asking me for my bank details so that he could set up a monthly direct debit for me to donate £10 per month. I said I woulld not give details over the phone but he still insisted that I could. I stopped at that point & put down the phone.

called me twice no message left I never answer calls from people I don't know as some of these numbers charge you when you answer. my phone company advised me not to answer...

I have had missed calls from this number. But when i call back it cancels straight away. Before it gets chance to ring.

this company offered my father a loan so he paid them a u-cash voucher for 145 pounds so as his loan went into his bank account... it all seemed above board then they said they wanted another 250 to process....LENDING TREAM... I got a missed call from this number. I tried to call back and a recorded message said "This is a marketing call" and said that all of their agents are busy.

Called them back, 03 numbers free on my plan, so didnt get charged (checked with the phone company) told them that i had reported their number, was hung up on. They rang the next day, dead air, rang the phone company who told me they can block the number. Wont be getting that again. Do not trust, when i call them i got different company names every time.

The number looked suspicious, and an on line search suggested that it was a scam call judging by the frequency with which the first 5 digits were used. I did not answer.
