Leaves an answerphone message which has been cut to give only the last word which sounds like scientist , then ask me to ring their number if I don t want to receive any more calls. Has called several times.
I believe it's PPI. They have started to vary the numbers, but the dialing code is always a local one, so you think it's possibly someone you know.

SCAM They called me claiming to be BT Open Reach phoning about issues with my router. They did not know anything about my router as they asked irrelevant questions which do not apply to my Virgin router. very suspicious. I hung up on them before it went too far.

This number called this morning and the recorded message must have started before the answerphone greeting had finished with the result that I only got a very small part of the message left. I thought this was a cold call. Not the case. It belongs to Gledhill boiler company, who were trying to contact me about an issue with my boiler. This is a Blackpool based company.
Asked about an all-inclusive holiday I'd had in the last 2 years. I said I hadn't had one and he said 'Ok, I'll update our records' then hung up.
Left half a message on my answer phone about my card, no idea what they were talking about.

Almost immediately after I received a warning from O2 by text: *SECURITY WARNING* The one-time code you requested will arrive shortly. If someone's calling you and asking for a code, please end the call because they DO NOT work for O2. If you suspect fraud, call us on 202 so we can protect your account. Soon after a code came from O2. This suggests the caller was trying to access my account.
